Learning about and understanding meditation is key to being truly successful and happy in life, how? read on.
Understanding meditation and its practice is as vital to a human being as air. That is a very big statement I know. To those that have tasted and do taste regularly the divine nectar that is meditation, understand the later statement. To those that have not, it may seem to be an absurdity. However once one has a real understanding of just what is meditation they begin to glimpse the truth of the opening statement.
Starting with the stages of meditation I aim to present within these pages and linked resources as an insight into this mammoth subject, which by no means can be fully understood by intellect alone, but by the practice; the tasting of the divine fruit.
But how does it work? you may ask. If the worlds scriptures and the many saints that have lived have spoken the truth, man is spirit - we are made in the image of the divine and as children of the divine we possess everything we need to overcome every obstacle in life. Once we begin to realize through prayer and meditation (actual God contact) our divine nature, we begin to think and behave in way that draws to us - like a magnet to the many hidden and not so hidden blessings that help us along the way. Life becomes a true joy to see just how near God is to us and how sometimes in very amazing ways his aid comes to us when we need it.
Ultimately however the goal of meditation is all about self realization the deep knowing - not just believing - that we are children of God, that our nature is divinity itself. Meditation is the means to reaching this deep understanding, by rewarding the deeply meditating individual or yogi with experiences in cosmic consciousness. This is a universal experience of God and is what true God communion is all about. This same experience is known to Christians as Bliss or Ecstasy, to the Buddhist as Nirvana and to the Hindu as samadhi .
Yes there are indeed many material benefits of meditation such as health, better concentration etc but I won’t go into them all on this page, but the real beauty of meditation is that it asks no one to simply believe, but rather to experience truth for ones self.
